My car ('94 Corolla) recently got its nose crunched, thanks to a driver who didn't pay attention. The engine cranked right up with no hestitation. The radiator got busted by the nose-crunch, but insurance will total it anyway. I (we) are thinking of maybe putting my engine into another body (like frankenstein).

I hear the Prism is basically the same as the Toyota Corolla.

Can anyone help? Any thoughts or useful, helpful advice? Thank you.

The Geo Prizm is mechanically IDENTICAL to the Toyota Corolla of the same generation.

They were both built on the same assembly line in the same factory (NUMMI) in California, which is a joint venture between GM and Toyota. The Toyota Matrix is built there now and so is the Pontiac Vibe -- again, same car with just a few cosmetic differences.

Geo was a chevy product line, however it was an imported car from japan and has many many similiarities to Toyota. You can get engines imported from japan for a few hundred dollars.
