Curious George, I like your name. If you were as your nick name suggests, then you should be doing a little research. If it is true that you are searching and looking around for the answer to the question of all questions, then why not try and look for the answer.

The answer may not be there, and you might not find one that suits you... Or you could find it and be finally content with what your conjured results imply.

You see, there is this story I once read about this donkey. The donkey was in constant pain and could not rest. The pain made him worry, made him wonder what was wrong, and made him unable to live a happy life like the rest of the donkeys.

One day, while he was drinking from a stream, a little frog jumped up from the pond and started jumping around. The frog paused when he got towards the back side of the donkey and asked: "what is this needle doing in your butt?!"

The donkey gulped the water that was in his mouth and lifted his head. He finally knew why he had been aching. He couldnt reach and get the needle out, and the frog surely couldnt help him... But the pain that the donkey was feeling suddenly disappeared.

For the donkey, the mental pain that he was going through, the stress, the anxiety of "is there something wrong with me", the depression, all faded when he realized that there was a reason... (the needle )... why all of this was happenening. Although the needle was stuck to deep in for anyone to be able to remove it for him, and although he couldnt get it out, he felt a sense of comfort and relief at being able to know what the cause of this problem was.

I mentioned this just to point out that it may be that what you find if you search may be unpleasing, or unhelpful... but so long as you do search in aim to find, regardless of what it is that you will find, you will have done yourself a favor...

I can't tell you, you're confused and that's good. Nobody really can tell you the way, you have to find it yourself. Find the peace within yourself, understand yourself, it's not as easy as it may sound, but with the help of calm mind and higher awareness this thing is possible. every little thing you do has reason or puspose for you to doing it, the way you giggle, the way you walk, the way you laugh, you have to pay attention to those things. also pay attention on bigger things, what makes you mad, what makes you sad, but always ALWAYS focus the question centered on yourself e.g. ask "Why I fell unhappy about "something"?"instead of asking ""Why "something" make me unhappy?" Patient and compassion is needed to understand your ownself. it is like understanding a child or a lover, you need dedication. You might want to try some form of meditation, it helps you be calmer and self-aware about yourself, and through high self-awareness come high self-control. Then only by understanding yourself you can understand your purpose, role and part in the bigger picture we call life.

Really consider what you enjoy and what interests you then put forth some effort to achieve that. You will have a greater sense of well-being and accomplishment. If you don't try, you will not be rewarded. I think restlessness comes from the body's need to do something purposeful. Put your mind to something positive.

Mind is the monkey. Allow it to wander and it will rest after some time. Never tie it. Learn some form of meditation to help you bring peace to the wandering mind. It needs a lot of patience and practice to calm down yourself. No book on earth can help you in this regard. You are your book of knowledge. To start with bring some form of discipline to your way of living. Yes it is difficult but I can assure you it is not impossible.

Peace is usually obtained from finding out your fears and confronting them. Once you can do that then you should start looking at your life and make it a point to reflect on the things in your life that you can't change; then learn to accept them.

You need to establish a routine that takes you through your day and then set aside time to simply sit and think.

Once you have a routine you can get through life without having to wonder about the why's of our existance all the time.

I agree with redhotpetite's answer. Peace from within is elusive and fleeting. If one can actually attain it, it inevitably will wane, and the search begins anew. Seek outside yourself for what is constant and absolute.
