how do i solve a sudoku?

Ah, I love sudoku. Its quite east once you get the hang of it. You have to fill in numbers 1-9 in such a way that all 9 rows, all 9 coloumns and all 9 boxes have these numbers. Go by the clues given in the sudoku itself.

In the top row of 3 boxes of 9 numbers, look for a number that is in two of them but not the third box. The two like numbers will be in different rows. The same number will go into the remaining row of the third box. If 2 of the squares are filled, it goes in the empty one.

Check both boxes under it for the number. It cannot go in the same column (vertical) twice. If the information is not sufficient to find the proper square, then start over with another number (1 thru 9).

Continue this for all rows and columns of boxes for all nine numbers.

Then - Check each of the nine boxes for empty squares to fill in, using the same rules.

Then - Check each of the nine rows and each of the nine columns for empty squares to fill in, still using the same rules.

Every number occurs exactly nine times, the same number cannot go in the same box, row, or column twice.
