I was never more alone than when I sat on my bed to stay out of the living room while the Sheriff's deputies and the Coroner's deputies were in the living room dealing with My Steve's dead body. (He committed suicide.) They would not let my boss in to see me, or anyone else other than the Sheriff's deputies, until they had completed their routine. Since my boss was an attorney, I felt it was my right, but they said they were not accusing me of any wrongdoing, so I didn't need a lawyer. That turned out to be true, but it was a horrible night and I try to remember that since I survived that without losing my mind, I can survive anything.

YES...I certainly do. I think lots of people feel that way, especially at this time of the year. Holidays can often be lonely times, even if you do go home to the family. We are almost required to feel happy and even ecstatic. How many of us can really manage that? I can't...So you have lots of company in the feeling you are totally alone in the world, but I don't know if that helps any.

Everyday of my life so far. You can be in a crowd and still be alone. It has to do with the heart and mind maybe. The feeling of detachment is a horrible thing. If you feel that way I am sorry.

That's not unusual. Sometimes, you need to be around the person who understands you and not around anyone else.

No matter where you are and how alone you feel, there is someone just like you feeling the same way.

You seriously aren't alone.

No..... on the contrary I have often sought solitude!!

Feeling lonely is a sign of weakness.... when you do not feel strong, you search for more and more support and therefore feel lonely even when there are so many people around you.

That's the way we are, we are born that way, die that way and the space in between is kind of the same.
