Is it worse to have an emotional affair or to have some one cheat on you in like a one night stand. Is it worse for a women to discover her lover is emotionally cheating or having a sexual affair? Or do men really understand what truly an emotional affair is to even be upset about it?

Both types are bad, however, ones of a sexual nature may kill you. I'm not exactly sure what it is about 'emotional affairs' that set women off. They can be brought up at anytime during a relationship, even years later, and still have the same effect on females. Males keep them as an Ace in the playing deck, to cause female self doubt. As males, we have an uncanny way of remembering more then given credit for. That being said, my opinion is ..........................
Sorry, but if I tell you then the guessing is over. Relax and enjoy what little time given us here. Females are too emotional for the most part, and men just brush it off.

Both are really bad, of course. A one night stand is probably only about sex, but an emotional affair means there is much more involved. An on-going sexual affair most likely is both physical and emotional.

It depends on the person. For me, it would be worse if my wife had a sexual affair. Emotions aren't something we really control. We choose how to act on them, but we don't control the emotions themselves. So if my wife felt loved by someone else and started to love him in return, then I would feel it was up to me to make her feel even more loved so she comes back to me.
But you do have control over who you have sex with. If she's out having sex with someone else behind my back, the deed is done, the choice is made. At that point, you can't take it back.

I think that emotional affairs are FAR worse than a sexual one. Thats why swinging is so popular nowadays...because thats all sexual and no emotional.
