Write down the hex as groups of 4 binary digits

25F8 => 0010 0101 1111 1000

Then regroup this bits into groups of three (starting from the right hand side) to get octal.

0 010 010 111 111 000 => 022770

Reverse the process to convert from octal to hex

Easiest is with a calculator. You have one already (if you're running Windows).

Pull up the Windows calculator (or get to the Run menu and type 'calc' (without quotes)).

Change the view to be scientific.

Your question is contradictory - you ask about octal to hex, but your example is hex to octal.

Whatever it is, select either hex or octal for your starting number.

Enter the number, then check hex or octal for the conversion.

Et voila - conversion accomplished.
