I fell in love with my best friend in high school. We were such good friends that we were afraid to make a go of it because we thought that if things didn't work out it would ruin the friendship, a risk that we didn't want to take. Reflecting on it now I wish we would have made the leap.

yes !!
And i couldn't help it. Nobody can !!
If you have the same situation, i would say that do something very very strengthful to avoid it. If you won't, you will be in deep love with that person :)
By the way- love is not so bad even if you have it for the person you shouldn't love.
Good Luck !!

Yes but what can be done against that ? Love is so unpredictable and mysterious... Look well, maybe somebody near you is feeling the same about you presently.

Absolutely... focus your energy on something healthier. Falling in love with the wrong person is emotionally exhausting.
