Romance? There is no "a", "g", or "e" when spelling the word "romance".
This is not a critique on your spelling but a statement of fact that attraction happens. What society thinks about it is what you are really asking about.
If you are looking for permission to have romance in your life by all means you have mine. Drop that niggling thought in the back of your mind of what the neighbors will say about dating a special someone like a bad habit. Who cares what they may whisper about behind you and get out there with any person that will romance you. I certainly don't care about age, gender, or nationality, when I see people who obviously enjoy the company of each other. You only go around once so grab all the romance you can honey just don't let what others may or may not be thinking spoil it for you.

Sophia Loren is 72. She is the Pirelli calendar girl this year. And I bet every man over 20 loves her.
Look at it this way, a 60 year old man and a 40 year old woman. Why should it be strange one way and not the other?

A friend of mine is 34 years old, and his live-in girlfriend is 56. They're very much in love and getting married next year. She needed someone who could make her life a little more exciting, and he needed someone who could take care of him...they both have what they need from each other.

Why don't the two of you talk about this and seriously discuss if it is possible or not? You are Old enough, after all. Right?

You bet. As long as you have common interests and enjoy each other's company, there's nothing wrong there.

Good luck!
