Hi..My dad's parents raised me and passed away when I was in my teens.I was on my own and my mother told me her mother didn't want to have anything to do with me until I was doing what I was supposed to with my life.(I was working and going to school and trying to take care of a baby..alone)I was unmarried and really struggling.Years later I got a phone call from the grandmother I thought wanted nothing to do with me.Come to find out..she had missed and looked for me a long time. She had moved to California when I was 7.She flew in for a couple of months and her present to me was a scrapbook.Pictures of my childhood with not only her but other people in my family.I had been denied those after my other grandparents death. The funny thing was that I had wrapped for her albums of myself and my son during all the time we weren't together.Best Christmas I ever had.

My birthday is a couple weeks before Christmas. One time, when I was about 4, I saw a Big Bird talking doll that I wanted so badly but my parents said no cause it costs too much. I was sooooo disappointed. I would go to the store to look at it everyday (this town had only 700 people so I was free to roam around cause family was all around). Well, about 5 days before Christmas I noticed that it wasn't there anymore and I started crying. I really thought it was the end of the world.

Christmas day comes and none of my presents were big so I knew I didn't get the Big Bird. Then after I opened all my gifts a mysterious box appears out of nowhere and I looked to see who's it was and my eyes got so big when I saw my name on it. I opened it and there was my friend, Big Bird the talking doll. I still remember the excitement...but I don't know where the doll is now lol.

My worst modern replaced right into a jumper from the united kingdom save, Laura Ashley, which more advantageous a hollow. I exchanged it for a modern card as i did no longer opt to hardship my Mum for the receipt. It replaced into in no way noted to me that the cardboard might expire after 3 hundred and sixty 5 days (they have sinced replaced it to a beneficiant 18 months), so I went to spend it around 14 months after difficulty, to be pronounced the value had expired. customer help weren't involved. So no jumper, no card, no products. My worst non-modern ever!

It was a glass bowl filled with chocolates and goodies, with one of those tiny bottles of Smirnoff Vodka (just enough to make one drink!) wrapped up so beautifully it made me cry with joy.

It was a gift from my two roomies, one was from India and another from Chicago. Both male, and they put it together so well! I was leaving for a trip for 2 months (so I missed christmas day with them) and they weren't sure of seeing me again.

It's a gift that I will always remember. It wasn't expensive at all, but I still have the bowl, filled by my bed side with rose petals in water, and floating candles.

The thought is what counts, so wrap up your gifts with your heart!

Last year I didn't receive a gift from my oldest daughter ~ she's a teen. My youngest daughter went to the Dollar Tree and bought me 2 small candles in the shape of a heart. Talk about bringing tears to my eyes.

It is better to give than to receive. I will include a short instructional video. This should help.
