You are probably missing or messed up the order of the disks, I've done it myself. Sounds like you need a book. Go to bikebandit.com and look up your model. They show a complete exploded diagram of the clutch there. If you have more problems after that shoot me an email. Good luck.

Usually they are either LT250 A or LT250 F for automatic and semi automatic.
Usual fault with the auto is the outside pressure sheave isnt on the splines correctly.
The 250F (foot change) has a total of 3 clutches. Usually the internal pressure plate isnt fitted correctly or the adjustment is way off.
Loosen the locknuts on the adjuster on the left case, screw the adjuster screw clockwise to loosen adjuster(counter clock tightens it against pressure plate) The pressure plate also has to be 'timed' to the splines on clutch hub. Its easier to remove the center bearing and assemble on the bench, refit with springs and tighten onto shaft. replace the bearing after its all together
