I'm having a party with adults and kids Saturday. Just wondering if you have any ideas for games for adults or kids or both? Thanks in advance!

I don't know about the kids. A good adult game is Dirty Santa. Everyone brings a gift and they all draw numbers. First person picks a gift. Next person can either take the first gift if he or she likes it or pick a new gift to open. And this goes on and on. It is really fun because usually there are a very few or couple of gifts that everyone wants. Another is that everyone brings a gift. Each person chooses a gift from under the tree. Stand in a circle. ONe person reads a story that includes the words left and right. Everytime the word left is said everybody has to pass thier gifts to the left and then everytime the word right is said they pass to the right. It is a lot of fun. I do not know how to find the story. There are probably a lot of them. Try Google or make one up.

If you search for bowtie christmas party games on google or yahoo you should get to a bowtieproducts site that will give you 4 new original games that will help make your nite fun.

Some of the games especially Sandys Christmas Carol game can be adjusted for nearly any age 8 and up.

For parties mixers like this work because they give folks something to do while they get warmed up to each other. if they want to talk, they can talk, but if conversatrion lags games like these take up the awkward silences that many of us dread.

Whats nice is that people don't all have to be in it to enjoy it. Some can just help out if asked or enjoy the groans of the answer section.

If links work in the answer blocks here's the link

there is also some party giving advice you may enjoy.

My wife and I made up the puzzles and many people really enjoy them.

I hope they work out well for you

We adapted a bingo game to a Gifts game---printed paper with 25 blank spaces--they use any numbers anywhere 1-75, they can use all number up to 2 times. We had everyone bring small gifts that were wrapped. The game goes fast(you only need 2 numbers to get a bingo line)when they get a line they say GIFT! we numbered our gifts and gave the numbers to the winners, then when all gifts was won the winners came up and were asked if they wanted to trade numbers with anyone? All were given a chance to trade...It was a fun time for all.You could only win once, so all had a chance to win..

I'm having a party too, I plan to play, "quess what I am" make up names of things, animals, people (teacher, singer, doctor) etc. have each person pick a paper out of a bag, basket, hat etc. that person has to act out what they get without talking or using props. I am also renting xmas movies.
Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!
