Okay well there is this guy who has been friends with me for a longg time. & he always drops hints that he likes me more then a friend. So...he confided in someone close to me, and she told him to talk to me about it ! I'm so worried he is going to ask me out, and I really DON'T like him... I don't want to be rude, or lose his friendship. Let me also mention that he is 5 years older then me, and that I am interested in someone my age. What should I do ?

Ugh NO I do not 'love' him. He is much more mature then me, and I am not interested in someone that age. So I think that IS a good reason for turning him down, but I prefer not to say 'rejecting' him.

Tell him honestly that you dont have any intense feelings for him.But at the same time you dont wanna lose his friendship. If he's mature enough he will understand you.

Tell him when you mature you will contact him. Right now, you want to just hang out with people your own age and act like a idiot. That should do it.

That is very easy, talk to him nice and slowly. Then you must say `I am not interested with someone who is not in my age, sorry`. Problem solved.

Age difference shouldn't be a criterion for rejecting a guy. Are you sure you don't love him?
