I'm dating someone with a vasectomy. I really want my own children. Ever since I could remember I wanted to be a mom. He says that he would get a reversal if things worked out between us. But I'm scared. What if we can't have our own kids. It's only a 50/50 shot that the reversal will work. We've talked about adoption. But will I resent him knowing that I could have had my own kids with someone else.

Yes I would still marry him. You don't have to give birth to a child to be a mom. All u have to do is love them. There are so many kids that need a mom and dad. Go ahead and adopt, then if God happens to bless u with a child u will have 2 children. Are u willing to give up a good man and dad for someone who will not be a good husband and dad? The choice is up to u.

if you resent him for that then you shouldn't be with him because them feelings will turn into hate.. he got a vasectomy for a reason and it's not a 50 percent chance just to let you know.. it's like a 20 to 30.. you should either adopt children or get with another man :) :) :)

Who knows if you would resent him. Do you love him enough to want to spend the rest of your life with him? That is the question, life is full of a series of compromise. And there are a great deal of children in this world who are awaiting adoption. All they want is a loving home. Good luck and God bless****

There are other options. You could have a child by going to a sperm bank. Also you have to ask yourself if this man is your soul mate. A real true soul mate. If you think that he is the one then you may have something that many others truly seek and never find in this world, True love. Children grow and move on its him you will be spending your life with.

marry him beacause u love him.... u say u might resent him if u guys cant have kids of your own... but would u end up "resenting" yourself if u left him an never found love like that again?
there are always going to be other options when it come to having kids.. u are the only ones who can decide anyway hun..good luck .. i wish u every happiness :)

Do you really, really love him? If you do, then it shouldn't matter, be with him, and see what the future holds. If your not sure if you love him, then you will resent him forever, when you didn't have to marry him in the first place.

Yes I would marry him. There's no guarantee that if I became pregnant no matter who I married that the baby would survive.

If you love him, you should.
He might be able to impregnate you naturally, if the reversal works.
Even if it doesn't, they could extract sperm from him and you could try IVF.
