to help stem the tide of illegal immigrants? All they would have to do is sit there and notify immigration authorities if they spot anyone trying to cross. They would be solving a problem, doing something productive for the welfare payments they receive and would be serving their country. Social service workers could then be used as supervisors, to make sure the watch posts are manned. Additional expenses to the government would be minimal as both are already getting paid.
I have proposed this idea to all of my elected representatives. So far, not one response.

Exactly. I knew some body would have a solution.
Next topic is details. Are we going to have air conditioned tents on the Arizona and New Mexico borders. Will there be plenty of Dos XX. Maybe we could ask the illegals to bring us DosXX in exchange for 3 day headstart into the USA.

yeah but since there are so many they could take like 2 month shifts. 12 hours a day (because its not hard to be a spotter) for 2 months out of a year. then you go home for 10 months and come back when thats up!!! great Idea!!! If you did a good job staying alert now jobs would arise in management and they would be off welfare. The one thing you have to work with though is that lots of people on welfare have jobs so unless its permanent how do they get around that job?also there are too many wlfare people to hire them permanently so thats why i suggested the above idea. i would suggest that you work out a bigger plan if you want it to go through. like plan how to house them, move them to the border and station them in appropriate settings!!

Not a bad idea at all. The only problem I see with it is we're STILL going to have a large portion of the folks on welfare who will refuse to do it and will cite any and every reason they can come up with to get out of it. Let's face it: Some folks on welfare are content to stay on welfare for the rest of their lives and believe they're "entitled" to welfare simply by virtue of the fact that they're Americans. WRONG!!! So why not offer them a choice: Go out and get a job (and Border Guard will be one of the choices) or starve?

since the majority of the recipients are single moms, who's going to take care of the kids? i say line up the deadbeat dads.

The problem isn't that we can't spot them. With the national guard there, and 'minutemen' all over, we can spot tons of them. However, only the border patrol can legally do anything about it, and they don't have nearly the amount of manpower they need.

You would trust them? They would be aiding others to cross the border if anything.
