I am not addicted to codeine, but that is a drug that you can become addicted to really easyly. So you really don't want to be taking codeine all the time. Chances are you will get so use to it that you will need more and more. And the withdrawal can be really bad. Should go to a doctor if you are going to come off of them. Or if u are not addicted, then be sure just to take them once in a while, only when you really need them.

No, i'm not addicted to codeine but it IS easy to get addicted to. I do have to take Lortab bc of severe scoloisis and i had to get my lumber fused in 2005. I am very careful with these pain meds...i normally only take 3 a day..............but they say that people that really need them for the pain don't get addicted bc it goes directly to the pain (unless you are abusing them). I have known people who take them just to get high and they are the ones that end up getting addicted and have a really hard time quitting. These pain meds are NOTHING to play around with....................

I personally can't take it,I'm allergic to it,but i knew this person who was addicted to it.They got hooked on it after having back surgery. They were addicted to it for several years before getting treatment. The sad part about the whole thing is the Dr. that started him on them kept on giving them to him knowing he was addicted and not in any real pain.I think he should have been sued.

Well, how about Aspirin? I find they fix most things so I give 'em a good nudge on a daily basis....as for addicted, no. But the things I seem to get regularly respond to Aspirin better than Panadol...

I wouldn't call myself addicted, I only need it when I have pain "attacks" every couple of months.
But I have noticed when the intense pain has passed, I have ease myself off of it over the course of about 2 days, or I get nasty headaches - I assume that's something of a withdrawal symptom.
