Oi you - come and talk to me for half an hour - I'm bored.

Oh dear - Drummania's ripostes are becoming soooo cutting. He's obviously so much cleverer than us.

"the government pays enough already to spongers you bummer".

It's hard to tell where Drummania ends and Winston Churchill begins, isn't it?

Just a little word to the, ahem, wise, Drummania - we might have a tiny bit more respect for you if you could display even a rudimentry knowledge of grammar. Not much, but some.

Nope - won't be panic buying. Will ensure that we have enough veggies to go with the Christmas dinner, though! And we'll be going early on Saturday, like our normal routine. I think all this faffing regarding panic buying instills more panic - and, to be cynical, it could be a ploy on the part of the supermarket to ensure that their logistics are OK, and they don't run out of essentials. Anyway, if the worst comes to the worst, stock up on chocolate - the perfect addition to any Christmas meal! ;-)

Do you really buy food every day? I tend to go once a week, if not longer - it's called forward planning!

I shop once a week, you just need to have a menu plan for the week, and estimate if you will run out of other grocery items before the next shop.

I could not stand having to battle the shopping crowds every day, or even twice a week!

I work in a supermarket and people are panic buying already!

How did you survive when shops used to be open for just 6 days per week?

Go crazy like the rest of the nation who think they are going to starve because the shops will close for 2 days!

I hear ya! Except our stores won't be closed for 2 days:) But yeah, even if I plan ahead, I always manage to forget something. Love knowing I can just go to the store anytime I want.

Hello gorgeous- when did you get back?
Dont be scared, you know your mum has brought months worth of food and stored it in the under ground bunker beneath your house from whrn I came round and told her the end of the world would soon be upon us.......so that should keep you going for two days (just about)
Anyway you work for Asda, why dont you just take the keys home with you then you can let yourself in in an emergency- or even if its not an emergency...just for a laff.

My dear Crispy..do not worry...my local spar is open...even though a lot of the food as been gnawed by rats and is out of date..I am sure you'll find something to fill up that big old tummy.
I wont be doing any shopping this year as I've now got servants to do that kind of thing for me and I am also not eating as my bodice is too tight
Yours affectionately Lizzy x

Are you extremly over weight by any chance, because most normal people really don't worry about things like this. Unless maybe your OCD, and in that case I totally sympathize with you. I can't eat pizza unless it's cut perfectly straight. But I thought most Grocery Stores were open on christmas eve. So you really would only have to go 1 day.
