It has to be Vegas if you have a Sony. Their own software got rated above all the competition on the Gadget Show (Channel 5), and you can read up all about it on their website.

Sony seem to be the only people however, that don't bundle a software editing package with their cameras - which is annonying. However, it's worth the extra money to buy something like Vegas, which is a much better fully feaured product - you can make just about anything with it!!! Plus you can get for under £50 at Amazon. Value!

Best thing to do is get one of those cover disks with the Trial Versions of software on them. Vegas is good as is Adobe Premiere Elements. You could also add ULead Video Studio and a host of others.

But what is right for you? Try before you buy. Get the trial versions and see.

Good luck

Adobe Premiere Elements - a scaled down version of the professional package especially aimed at the personal user. I have it and it's excellent. Version 3 has just been released so you may be able to pick up V2 on the cheap.
