well you will need about four hours to spare before drinking it, and it can taste better the next day, even. . .

Of course, you may need to adjust the proportions, depending on how much you would like to drink at any one time. . . .

12 eggs
11/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 quarts of milk
2 tbl. vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups of cream
(12oz.) rum or brandy

1. in a large enough saucepan, whisk together eggs, sugar, and salt

2. gradually add one quart milk

3. stir over low heat approx. 25-30 min

4. gradually add vanilla, nutmeg, and remaining milk

5. refrigerate for three hours

6. whisk-in cream

7. add rum or brandy to taste, sprinkle of nutmeg to top
