you can give her loads of freebies and not even have to spend the tenner.......
paint her nails
cook christmas dinner for her
do the pots after lol
lots of cuddles
lots of kisses
smiles
tell her in depth of how much you love her
tell her how gorgeous she is
the list goes on, just make her feel so special
if you still wanna spend the money, how bout a silver ring, or a little charm she could put on her chain.

Im pregnant right now and me and my husband are really skint at the moment so we are not buying each othere presents til after christmas - kind of having a late christmas. There have been some great ideas posted (and some not so great extremly RUDE ones), but all i could ask for from my husband for xmas is plenty of TLC, massages and just some quality time together. Id want him to spend the money on some choclates and some nice bubble bath.

Whats everyones problem with setting a limit on Christmas spending?? We set a limit of £10 for adults this Christmas (including spouses) It has made the presents far more imaginative - plus we've agreed that, this year, Christmas is about being together and having fun rather than big expensive presents!!
Have you thought about making some fudge or toffee and putting them in a pretty box? There are loads of recipes on the net! Spend the £10 on some silver earings or a chain and put that in the box too!

write her a myth starring her or find her a really lovely 'baby book' - a book for recording information about the baby's first year. then, in the parts that say 'note from daddy' and such, actually write in it!
show your love for her and the baby by making sure your child never has to endure more than 10 hours of separation from mommy a week before age 3, as this is very damaging to a child, and show your love by being very supportive of nursing the child on demand and having the child sleep with you.
those are real presents that will keep on giving.

buy some lotions and candles. Then, give her a foot massage (a REAL one), let massage, hand/arm and body massage. Time yourself so the massage is 30-40 mins. Low light with music. Once a week for a month. Make a pretty card and put it in a box.
Ask the local DJ to play a dedication to her at a time she'll be listening.
The lastest trashy novel.
NEVER give: irons or board, pots, pans, or anything "practical" unless she directly tells you to or is hinting strongly.

Me and my partner are on budgets too. I say go to boots and buy her some really nice smellies but make sure they are safe for pregnant women as some are not it should tell you on the packet. If you dont want to buy that then maybe a new bag or hair care product the sales are starting in most stores so hopefully you should get a bargin. good luck. Have a nice christmas.

take your tenner to the body shop and tell them you want something nice for you pregnant wife and are on a budget. the staff are very friendly and will be glad to help you. and you can also pop in a little card that says you promise to pamper her and run her a nice warm bath when she wants one. just make her feel special and you will be onto a winner. so just make yourself useful and give her all the help she needs and you never know if you play your cards right she may ask you to scrub her back lol
good luck and I'm sure you will work something out.

Pregnant women can have a heightened sense of smell, so be sure she likes an aroma before you get it, also be careful of how you do a foot massage and check if it's even safe to do one in the first trimester...
Rent some good videos/dvd's she'll like and try to find out the sort of thing she likes at the moment, favourite food/snack etc, tastes can vary widely at this time...
Good luck
Happy Christmas

Whats her favorite sweets? Buy them and put in a voucher for an hour long full body massage (you being the massuer) along with a voucher for being her slave for a day.....
Try this Christmas morning or any day:
Run a warm bubble bath for her (throw in some rose petals from the garden and smelly bath salts from the pound shop)
Cook a hot breakfast for her - in bed (be aware of smells that could give her morning sickness)
Let her put her feet up watching TV while you attend the household duties.
Give her a foot soak (10 mins) and foot rub - (for a long time). Massage oil from the pound-shop or similar can be bought cheaply.
Massage her hands and forearms, and paint her nails.
Bring lunch to her (find out what she wants in advance). Serve it with some non-alcholic wine or apple cider in a wine glass to make it look good!
Dinner - pasta can be cheap and still yummy. Light candles, have a rose in a vase on the table, set the music in the background....tell her how much you love her.
A full body massage (take your time) or even try your hand at a scalp massage - it is devine.

you could make her a compilation cd of all her favourite songs, a scrapbook of special memories of things you have done together,a memory box for the baby, you could get a special photo of you two blown up and put in a nice frame, whatever you get her im sure if you put a bit of thought into it she will love it. the best present you can give is being there for her and waiting on her hand and foot! Good luck!
