It is WATT ..this is in accordance with your option, otherwise the basic unit is Joule

I can't read the D answer, but the basic unit of electrical energy is the Joule (just like any other form of energy).

The 'Watt' is a measure of power (energy expended per unit of time) and is measured in Joules/second.
