This things you are telling is done 2000 years back and it will not happen again. It is finished by Jesus Christ my Lord and my God to fullfill the prophesy to show to the whole mankind how cruel they are. How they backfight the one creator that no matter how GOD will do to the goodness of his creature yet they follow their will and not the will of GOD.
But thanks be to my GOD that once I confess and repent to my sin and not to do it again He forgives. For GOD demonstrate HIS own love towards US while we were yet sinners, He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have an everlasting life.John 3:16 Bible.
Those film you are telling is under your discretion to learn your children, how you polish their mind. So be it. God has given you your freedom, a will to choose what is right and what is wrong. For GOD words are not too difficult to follow and the prize of following him is a prosperous life for that is the plan of the Father.
You will never give your daughter or your son a snake when he asking for a fish or scorpion when he is asking for a bread.

If that is your impression of what happens in church then you are truly an ignorant soul. You are being rude to people you don't know about things you don't understand while contributing nothing useful but cynical biased remarks. Friday the 13th has not affected 2.3 billion lives in the most profound way and never will. If your child can read and understand the text in the Bible then they are clearly more intelligent than you because it is obvious your effort to digest it failed miserably.

If you would concentrate your hatred on Satan and his sin rather than on God and his love, then maybe you would see the wonder and beauty of Jesus Christ. Hollywood would have you believe that they have all the answers, when in fact they are part of the problem----a big part. God's word is honest, factual and straightforward---it is not fictional. God's Word is directed to help, not hurt. The crucifix is an inaccurate portrayal of Christ today, which is why you will not find it among Protestant denominations or non-denominational church groups. Christ has risen----he is not still nailed to the cross. Christ died for our sins that we might live eternally with God. There is not hypocritical about this. Children need to learn about sin and the devil and hell, so that they can begin to pattern their lives in the direction of good morals. Hollywood can only teach them immorality because that is all it knows. Do you want your children growing up to think that violence is normal? I am a prison pastor and I minister men and women every month who think that violence and crime is an acceptable way of life---that is why they are in prison. Prison is no place where you want your children to be---it is an ugly place.

Poor lost soul, if only you'd take Jesus' crucifixation and teach your child that this man died for our sins. I guess your not into teaching good and bad to your children. I'd certainly not show friday the 13th to my children without thoroughly explaining the importance of what is happening or what this movie is trying to tell you. Jesus on the cross should open a whole new question period with your children if you take the time to understand Jesus first. Parents are supposed to teach children the importance of good and bad. SRY who's is the pinnacle of pur hypocrisy now?

I'm not a Christian anymore but seeing that guy nailed to wood tuned me up to what life is really about and prepared me for the trials that awaited me. You've got to be tough to survive and seeing what they did to God's kid let me know that it wasn't all strudel and sunshine and made what was happening to me make way more sense!!!! Any way, have a Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year!

Well the Old and New Testaments reflect each other in ironic ways. In the Old Testament, man uses violence to try to earn God's favor. In the New Testament, God steps out of the security of heaven to know what its like to feel pain like we do. The Old Testament is about man trying to reach God, the New Testament is about God trying to reach man.
Of course none of us actually enjoy or like the idea of God suffering pain, but ultimately we see that it is for our own atonement, that through Christ we do not need violence or power or priestly governors - we just need to be led by the Spirit and seek righteousness.

I totally agree!!!! I am not against church or anything I think it has a lot of good morals behind it and a wonderful support group.
But really! How about the plays they re-inact. about Jesus being nailed to the cross etc.. That is played by kids a lot!
Anyways thanks for bringing up some good points. I don't agree with the violence that church brings into society. We might need to get some of that restricted I wouldn't want my small children to learn about that.

It depends on who is teaching him what about history. If you are a jew Then I believe you should take him to one of your temples first. tell him all about your relgion. Then after if he is in school and if he wants to see all the other stuff thats his choice.. but as he is a child parents are the one's to choose for them.
If you feel strongly about Christian's showing it the wrong way then do not tell that to your child but tell him that he is a jew and that he should know about himself before knowing about other peoples cast!
Happy Hoildays...
Merry Christmas and Happy hunika (I hope I spelled that right for you) :-)

Guys like you get me. You talk about Christians like you know every one of us personally and can therefore speak for us all. You do a lot of guess work and you guess wrong most of the time. Jesus on the cross is letting all people know what He had to endure for our sins. Yes your sins too, even if you don't care that he did it for you. "but they totally okay with their snuff film about Jesus" It's good to know you know all Christians in the world and can speak for us all. Get a life little dude.
