Choc chip cookies

Ingredients
125g (4 1.2 oz) unsalted butter
185g (1 cup) soft brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp milk
215g (1 3/4 cups) plain all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
250g (1 1/2 cups) dark chocolate bits

Directions
Preheat the oven to 180 degree C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Cream the butter and sugar with electric beaters in a large bowl. Mix in the vanilla essence and gradually addd the egg, beating well. Stir in the milk. Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl, then fold into the butter and egg mixture. Stir in the dark chocolate bits.

Drop levels tbsp of the cookie mixture onto the baking tray, leaving about 4cm (1 1/2 in) between each cookie, then lightly press with a floured fork. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.

Chocolate Chip Cookies
Mix
2 cups melted butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 large eggs or 5 medium eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Then add and mix
6 to 6 1/2 cups flour
1/2 to 3/4 cup oat meal
1 cup nuts (optional)
1 bag chocolate chips
1/2 bag white chips
Preheat oven broiler, use broiler so the cookies don't burn on
the bottom as the bottom element will not come on, to 400 degrees.
Spoon dabs of cookie dough on a cookie sheet and place them on the
third rack down, then turn temperature down to 350 degrees,
bake for approx. 8 minutes. Makes about 10 to 12 dozen

1 sick of butter, and 1/2 cup of each white sugar and brown sugar, cream together, then add 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla, mix together,and then add 2 cups flour, mix together. Stir in a bag of chocolate chips (we prefer milk chocolate). Drop rounded teaspoon size on a cookie sheet and bake at 325 until done. Cooking time depends on how hot your oven gets. Enjoy your cookies!!! We love homemade chocolate chip cookies so much that I have the recipe memorized.

THICK AND CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
2 cups, plus 2 tblsp. of flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 sticks of butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips, your preference
1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional

preheat oven to 350. cream the butter and the sugars, add eggs and vanilla. in a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda and salt. add to sugar mixture. mix well then add choc. chips and pecans. mix well. scoop 1/4 cup of batter and roll into a ball. (rub a little butter on hands and fingers so batter doesn't stick) split the ball in half and put rounded edges together leaving jagged edges on top. place on baking sheet two inches apart(they get big) and bake for 12-18 minutes. cool and enjoy!

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt


1 cup (2 sticks, 1/2 pound) butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated [white] sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

1 cup chopped nuts

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE in preheated 375-degree [Fahrenheit] oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

PAN COOKIE VARIATION: PREPARE dough as above. Spread into greased 15"x10" jelly-roll pan. Bake in preheated 375-degree [Fahrenheit] oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack.

FOR HIGH ALTITUDE BAKING (>5,200 feet): INCREASE flour to 2 1/2 cups; add 2 teaspoonfuls water with flour; reduce both granulated sugar and brown sugar to 2/3 cup each. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit, drop cookies for 8 to 10 minutes and pan cookies for 17 to 19 minutes.
