I have a one year old kid, and i want him to develop his learning skills, through stimulating his left brain. Does any one know about ways to do it?

our brain controls two "modes" of thinking.

the right brain focuses more on the intuitive, subjective learning (aesthetics, creativity, feelings) while the left brain focuses on the objective, analytical thinking processes (logic).

most schools are concerned with the left-brain modes of thinking.

since you have a one-year old kid, and he can't go to school yet, it all falls onto your hands. you serve as his first teacher. expose him to the basics of abc's and 123's. hand him some educational toys which he can play with and learn from at the same time. :)

Educational toys. Make learning fun. Educational posters in his room /around the house. Seeing something everyday will evenutally register and he's gonna want to know more.

hand him some crayons. (just watch so he doesn't eat them, but don;t scold him, then he may become afraid of using them. just show him gently how to use them, and tell him they are or making pictures)

let him bang on pots and pans.

dance with him around the house to some music!!
