I know how hard it is to stay of the junk food. All you should do is occupy your time with some other activity. Even though you might say, oh, well I don't have anything to do, I'm sure there are plenty of things to do. Exercise, play, go somewhere, do something besides eating. When you eat junk food you're eating it because you're bored. Stay out of the pantry and do something else besides eat. I'm in that same situation and I just play Dance Dance Revolution to occupy my time. It's a great way to get your mind off of food. That is if you like dancing and don't mind getting sweaty. Remember just stay away from the pantry, unless you're actually hungry, not bored, hungry. As if when your stomach needs food and not just because you are bored. I hope this helped.

I remember my brother and I have never had problems with junk food when growing up because my parents never buy any soda or chips or other kinds of junk food. Even on school picnics, my mother would prepare some healthier food for me e.g. egg sandwiches, fruits instead of giving me money to go out and buy junk food with friends. We always ate (and still do) at home too, sometimes they'd let us cook with them or let us choose the ingredients so that we'd be happy to eat the (healthy) food we cooked with them :)

Guilt!!! I think the feeling of guilt can help control eating junk food, it has helped me. Eat junk food, however after eating it, keep reminding yourself the harmful affects of junk food and keep making yourself feel bad. This \bad feeling after eating junk food will eventually take you completely off junk food.

Willpower. Once you've been eating healthful food for a while, junk food will taste just like that--junk!

Don't buy junk food for snacks. Choose healthier alternatives when picking out snacks at the grocery. Try fruit slices in cups or low fat yogurt.

Eating junk food is a convenient habit. Replace it with a new habit by eating fruits and vegetables instead. In other words, it's all about HABITS.

I know that this sounds weird but start buying frozen corn instead of candy. My mother used to get me that all the time so I wouldn't get cavities. I loved it then and i still love it now.
