First time I got married I got married in Church, but that did not stop him shacking up with my 16 year old bridesmaid 3 years down the line (so much for saying your vows in front of God!!)

Second marriage was in a registry office, and again that did not stop him dipping his wick elsewhere.

3rd marriage (I know, one would have thought I would have given up by now) will more than likely be in a registry office, with perhaps a humanist ceremony afterwards so we can get married outside, but seeing as we cannot agree on a date or even a month as yet, (my other half is sitting important exams next year for his job, and we don't have all the dates as yet for those, so have to try and guess and plan around those exams) we haven't made any firm plans, but have thought of loads of ideas.

I was not aware that McDonald's were licensed for weddings! LOL....well, I guess everyone wants something different don't they, not my cup of tea I must say, I prefer the fries at BurgerKing!

We got married November 5th 1988 in Bridlington Registry Office. I already had 1 child so didn't think a church wedding was appropriate, attitudes back then were a lot different towards unmarried mothers than they are today. We didn't manage to get a honeymoon coz hubs had to be back at work on the Monday! Our 21yrs have been very happy, mostly in debt for the 1st few years but we NEVER argued back then or since. We talk about everything and made a very conscious decision to not argue as we both believe that one party will always feel something is unresolved and feel resentful of the other. And as the saying goes....I love him more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow! :)

I got married in the dining room of my two bedroom apartment. I planned my wedding in 2 hours that included buying rings, inviting guests, finding a judge and getting a license. I also did laundry that same day and my husband was back at work at 4 am the next day. Also the 2 hours of planning also include cleaning the apartment and telling my parents. We didn't tell his parents until after wards. In my opinion it does not matter where you get married or how much it costs it is the point that you love eachother.

I got married in the church. I'm very traditional.

As far as people getting married in McDonalds, it's not for me, but if it's what the couple wants, who am I to judge.

I got married in a hotel and we had a beautiful ceremony. We did it this way because we got married in another country, so the hotel arranged everything.

Personally I would get married in McDonald's, but it doesn't matter where you get married, as its the couples life after the wedding that is the most important thing

I got married in St Lucia first time and I am engaged again and we plan to get married in a registry office as both of us were cited as the reason for the divorce of the other (divorced rather than divorcee) then you can't get married in a church. If I had divorced mine and he had divorced his then we could have, stupid isn't it?

Ten days ago I got married on a beach in Mauritius (I just returned from honeymoon) and it was fabulous and very special. Wedding photos look great.
People who marry in McDonalds - well, the photos aren't going to be that good, are they? They're trying to say something about their attitude to the convention of marriage (i.e. we're weird and wacky and don't care) but I suspect that in years to come they will regret it especially when their children and grandchildren want to see photos and ask. My advice? Choose a location that looks good as the photos are your best memory in years to come!

Mcdonalds!!?? You're kidding, right?

I got married in Chiang Mai in Thailand in a Buddist ceremony. Was the most amazing experience. Didn't want a traditional wedding and what we got was an amazing experience, not just for me and my husband, but for all my family & friends who came.
