Caffeine may heighten symptoms of fibrocystic breast lumps (a type of benign breast disease) in some women, but there is no evidence that it increases the risk of breast cancer or other types of cancer. The link between coffee and cancer of the pancreas, widely publicized in the past, has not been confirmed by recent studies. There does not appear to be any connection between coffee drinking and cancer risk.

No, coffee does not cause breast cancer. There are some lumps (non-cancerous) that can be caused by fluid in the breast and a good way to decrease fluid retention is to stop drinking coffee. However, this is not the case if the lump is cancerous.

No-one knows what causes breast cancer. It is, however, known that there are some factors that do slightly increase a woman's chance of developing breast cancer (genetic, early puberty, late menopause, not breastfeeding, having children late in life etc).

Being hit on the breast or wearing a tight bra does not cause breast cancer.
