I would be totally devastated.while there should be tolerance ,there isn't any on either side.I am a believer in Christ but not in organized religion.Islam is that as well.those you convert do it for fun for a while.I know some folks who did that and came back to the other side not being able to deal with the Islam rules(to say it kindly).especially the girl.any religion that encourages a holy war Just to blame murder on GOD seems more like an underground army recruiting strategy.and then this sexist 72 virgin Bull^%$^$t,I mean do women then get 72 young ones as well?Islam was created way after Christianity so I think I will just stick with what came first. The rest is pretty much made up in my book.Lets not forget 9-11 was in the name of Allah.I see more and more dislike towards non Muslim that includes even Buddhists and that would also be in the name of Allah.it seems like ever thing is in the name of Allah.but not my children.
I come from a place were Muslims eradicated my family ,so I guess I am a bit harsh-but so is the reality of religion and its fundamental believes.

I would question their reasons?
I keep looking into this so-called religion, where non-Muslims are called (NAJIS)= filthy and (their Bible) the Quran 9.28 Orders Muslims to fight until no other religion except Islam is left because I do not want to be a bigot or prejudice in any form.I have gone to their sights and discussed my concerns with my youngest son. I would be afraid for him or my other son if they converted.
I know their is bad and good in everything and religions can be perverted by bad people, but my son and I just watched a man being stoned to death under Islamic law. It was barbaric!
I have really tried to see the good in Muslims, but I am afraid of this religion because of the actions of its followers.
I would have to except their decision, but I would not be happy. I took my boys to every different type of religious service around us for 2 1/2 years so that they could make up their own minds what they truly believed.
They both have had friends of many different faiths, including just about every denomination of Christianity, Jewish, Hindu, Budist, Wiccan and A Native American religion and all were welcomed in our home.
It would hurt me deeply and I would feel that I had failed them because my husband and I are both Christians. He is Methodist and I am Catholic and we were both raised by parents that were different faiths. His were Methodist and Lutheran and mine were Catholic and Church or Christ, until my fater converted when he was 70 years old. we have tried to instill in them the exceptance of others that are different. That is the reason that I keep looking into the Islamic religion. I do not want to be predjuice, but these people scare me!

My mother was very upset, and felt that I had abandoned what she had taught me. She also expected that I had become Muslim for the sake of some man. After 2 years, she has started not frowning so intensely when she sees me in hijab, but she still isn't exactly happy about it.

when I converted to Islam 2 years ago my mother stoped talking to me & tryed to convince me that I'm wrong but when I tryed to deal with her like prophet Muhammad told us & according to the teachings of the Qur'an she now wishes that I converted to Islam from a long time.. our relation is now much better than before although she's a relegious catholic, she finds that I'm getting to be a BETTER person now & my morals are better, am following the sunna with her. I think any parents whose daughter or son converted to Islam are lucky cuz it contains the best teaching for respecting parents, & clearify the soul
May Allah guid us all to it

Like most things in life I wouldn't give a rat's potato one way or the other. I refuse to let the endless disappointments interfere with my own personal pleasure!

I am a Christian father of two. They are both grown now and if they decided to become Muslim, so be it. I would try and talk to them and they know about Jesus, but it's their decision to make.

I would be happy..But not everyone is as open-minded as me..most people really do not have good knowledge of Islam and what it really is about, so they are always condemning it...You can blame the media for that....

I would be very happy, if they read the Quran by themselves and worship the One True God without hating any people on earth as taught by the sacred verses in that Holy Book.

I wouldn't mind, but I would be afraid for her since there are so many closed-minded bigots out there.
