A very good, and perhaps the best is the spoon. I prefer Stinger spoons. I like to run these on a downrigger with a slip (cheater) line and also run them behind dipsy divers. These are not the only lures I use, but with the vast numbers of colors and their ease of use, they are hard to beat no matter what the conditions are.

Spoons such as Southport Slammers, Northport Nailers, etc. are probably the most productive. I've caught numerous salmon on NK 28s. You can buy stick on prism paper to add flash and color to spoons too. J plugs and dodgers with flies also work. Watch the spoons to make sure they wobble and don't loop. If they are looping in cirlces you are going too fast. You can run them behind down-riggers, dipsey-divers or divers like Luhr-Jensen Pink ladies. The dipsies are directional so you can set them to run to the sides of the boat. Good luck fishing.
