My parents are coming for a cup of tea today and i want to make them or buy something special for them to eat with their cup of tea. What do you think i should serve?

Do they like sweet or savory?? Try to think about what they would normally eat and go buy something along the same lines, but from a specialty shop

Oh yes. Make a proper "tea" so little sandwiches - tuna/salmon and cucumber or smoked salmon. Warm mince pies of course, fairy cakes and choccie biscuits.

You could serve them a platter of various sandwiches, a plate of mincemeat pies or buttered scones. Crackers and various cheeses is another idea too.

Can't beat good old tea and luxury biscuits (for dunking). Or scones or sponge cake.

Get a nice bit of carrot cake. M&S do lovely carrot cake but you can also just get one in any local bakery.
