I agree. I'm not religious but i wouldn't respond to somebody like that under those circumstances. That was uncalled for.

Although I appreciate the concern, actually this kind of question isn't a question it's a request - and the Y!Answers Team have previously stated that questions just asking people to pray for them will be deleted as violations if they are reported.
There is a discussion somewhere in the user forum about this.
But I agree that malicious name-calling and abuse is uncalled for. I don't think angrysandwichguy's post was offensive or rude, however. It was merely a statement (although I don't know if there were other abusive responses that have already been deleted and so I missed).

I think I may disagree with you Pangel. I understand your concern about unnecessary rudeness but what is love ?
Is it slushy sentimentality ? Or is it stronger than that ?
If someone needs help are "positive thoughts" able to replace that ?
Who is a wise man that knows what is right ?
A rebuff may turn her to God and teach her not to trust faithless and deceitful man. How do you know?
Faithful are the wounds of a friend but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
It is easy to say nice things, but oh how empty it can be, especially here where we remain anonymous and pass on feeling good. We can be so goody goody. It is easy to fish for the sympathy vote.
According to you we must be 'nice' but I fancy these issues of life demand something stronger.
No, I think I disagree with you.

I totally agree, I have passed on questions that I felt that I could not answer honestly, and I really feel that anyone who posts a request for prayer is a very serious one and should be shown respect.

I totally agree with you - some people are just asking for a little understanding and reassurance, I can't understand why people give them rude or sarcastic answers just to be cruel. After all, a lot of these people are going through something terrible - it costs nothing to give them a little positive thought.

Spot on PAngel, it's sad we live in a world where people can get a kick out of others misfortune, or hardship. Love is a powerful thing, something we should all remember, and not only this time of the year

Agree completely your point is well argued and so true if people fell in need of support then basic human decency should push us to give it to them, even if it is not strictly in the rules after all for a good cause we should live by the adage that "rules are made for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools"
God bless you

I fully and completely agree. Even a positive statement from an unbeliever can do much. A good point to bring up. Thanks. Hopefully the Prats will listen!

Couldn't agree more. Even in times of trouble enemies come together as one. Despite our differences we should respect each other and most of all respect LIFE.
Thanks for bringing that up.
