Below is a list of some passages that validate the doctrine of "Final Salvation". This is not to say that there are other seemingly contradictory passages but theses can be explained as either fragmented less enlightened portions of the bible or simply misunderstood.
"He (Jesus) must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore Everything, as he promised long ago through his prophets." Acts 3:21
"Just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of the one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men." Romans 5:18
"And he make know to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment - to bring all things in heaven and earth together under one head, even Christ." Ephesians 1:9-10
"For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:22

Nikki, not everybody believes at this moment in time but I believe we have eternity to believe and since God created us and all of God's creation is Good by that virtue we will naturally return to him/her like Salmon swimming upstream to their birthplace.

kj7gs, I find your interpretation of these passages as legalist focusing more on what you think the letter of the law is more so that the spirit of the law. Have compassion in your heart and you will understand without having to do any excessive exegesis.

I don't know those passages, but I do know that the idea that salvation is even necessary is a fallacy. There are many ideas in Christianity that are fallacies. Not just in Christianity, though, there are other organized religions that hold the some of the same basic ideas. Unfortunately, these are harmful ideas. I could elaborate further, but it wouldn't make any difference.

You can take whatever interpretation you like for these verses, but I see your first reference as a mention of the second coming of Christ, not salvation for all people. Your second reference depends on who the "all men" are. I don't have any Greek lexicon in front of me, but my guess is that the latter group is a subset of the former, not an equivalent -- unless Paul is specifically speaking to Christians in which case both "all men" would be subsets of the entire human race.
In your third reference, Paul is speaking of Jews and Gentiles, not the entire world. And in your fourth reference, all shall be made alive, but not all will be saved.
I'm not a seminarian by any means, but the verses you've put together do not fit very well with other scriptures that would also contradict a universal salvation.

I do not believe that god will let us unsaved people spend eternity in hell for a lousy 80 bad years of our lives. That would be ungodly like now would it. HOWEVER there is the fact that we assume that we have freewill:
God created the book of life and death before he created man, a book that has everybody name it that is going to go to heaven and or hell
If god could not lie and loved us so much, why would he want to destroy a people that he promised the promise land to out of hate
God did not intend to let us have freewill. It was a mistake.

No. Those Scriptures refer to the opportunity that is available to all people. It is a free gift From God. But like any other gift it's not yours till you take it and receive ownership.

It's a choice to be saved or not. Those verses are saying if you are saved this is what will happen, but you have to get saved in order for that to happen.
