A very intersting thing about the brain is that it gets tired very little. Mental work is far less tiring than physical work, contrary to popular belief. A person studying for 12 hrs CAN still FEEL FRESH but a manual labourer will not.
The ONLY reasons why tiredness is felt while studying is
ANXIETY
It is difficult but while studying FREE ur mind with anxieties of exams, the future, the syllabus, the peers, the teacher, forget abour EVERYTHING except the task in front of u
Also you should adopt a very comfortable posture while studying:
1) Make sure you sit on a table and do not strain your eyes too much
2) Do not frown, wrinkle your forehead, tear hair or bite nails while studying
3) When you feel tiredness or boredom, 'loosen yourself'. Practise this by lying in the most COMFORTABLE and RELAXED position ON YOUR CHAIR and loosen every bit of your body like a crumpled sock. Stay in this position for 5-15min and then continue studying
4) It is a good idea to put a poster of a serene landscape on the wall in front of the place whr u sit and study and clear away ALL your books except the ones u need. This is because the sight of a stack of books always induces worry about the future workload
Next, practice AUTOSUGGESTION every morning and evening, u can do this in 2 ways:
1) Before sleeping, while u r lying in bed and the light is off, fill your mind with pleasant POSITIVE thoughts, because before sleeping ur mind enters its subconscious state and if u slowly and steadily fill it with positive thoughts while it is at this state, the mind registers and AUTOMATICALLY starts working while u r doing that thing. For eg, relax ur bosy completely and repeat this dialogue in ur mind
"I have full faith in my subconscious mind. I know I am a genius and possess the brilliant potential. I know that I have the power. I can study for long hours without feeling tired. I know I can because the power is not hidden in a capsule or a book, but WITHIN me and I can unleash the power. I know I can.."
And fall asleep WITHOUT WAKING.
DO NOT force your mind, just coax it.
Pracetise this for 3 min after u wake up (while in bed) and b4 u sleep
2) U can also (at any time of the day sit on your bed in a calm position with the lights off and repeat the above diaologue (no need to say the exact words, but ur thoughts SHOULD be positive. While doing so play a film in ur mind, that ur exams r going well, that ur teacher calls u in the center of the class to congratulate u, that u parents are pleased wid u after seeing ur report card etc..
Along with this, there is another method known as 'Spiritual Healing' which has the potential to cure ANY disease and instill in u a mental peace so serene and satisfying...Many doctors have confirmed this method by recording thousands of cases which cured chronic diseases, cancers and even drug addictions have been cured!
The method of spiritual healing needs NO money, NO medicines, NO doctors only......FAITH in GOD and it works, I tell u take my word for it, because look where it has placed me-- in IIT Delhi!
To know what this method is, visit www.bruno-groening.org
Follow these methods and u'll still feel fresh after studying for 12 hours put together!

How are your living conditions? DO you work as well as study? Is there enough light where you study? Are you eating properly? Are you putting yourself under too much pressure? How many other external factors are affecting your ability to concentrate such as personal or financial problems?
All of these factors could impact on your ability to concentrate for any period of time.

Have you tried the vitamin called Brahmi or Gingko Biloba? These are supposed to help. You also might need to get your eyes tested too. And, make sure you have good posture in your chair too. All the best!

Are you sure it isn't eye strain? If I don't wear my glasses (I am not saying that you need glasses), I get very tired while studying or reading something. Try getting your eys checked and see if that could be it.

Drink and eat something. Energy is what you need. Also, always think that you'll have a good grade. That helps.
