That'll be Durham-TeesValley airport, up near Darlington / Middlesbrough / Stockton kinda way......... though if you're relying on public transport to get from the airport to Scarborough, you'll need to catch a Train possibly GNER or Transpennine Express) from Darlington to York, then a local service from York to Scarborough.

May be just as easy to go to Manchester Airport, and catch a TranspennineExpress which runs straight from there to York, then on to Scarborough.

Or Leeds-Bradford Airport (though don't know much about the train services down that way... but I guess another train to York, then on to Scarborough).

OR there's also Humberside Airport, which I don't know much about, since I only just spotted it via GOOGLE EARTH... but appears to have Winter flights to / from both Amsterdam + Lapland

The nearest airport is Tees-side Airport near Middlesbrough,
but I don't know if one can get there from Denmark or not.

Middleton St George or Teesside is nearer than Newcastle, though Leeds may be more accessible by public transport.
