check at a pet store like PetSmart, but im not sure how inexpensive they will be,,,, also you can go to Lowes or HomeDepot, and they can cut you some wood,, and you can build one,,,,, it shouldnt be to hard, draw out and cut out a pattern,, before you go,,,,,, like you would when making a dress,,,, have it be actual size you want,,,the only tricky part of the cutting is the door, the rest is all rectangles ,,, then buy a thin sheet of plywood,,, have them cut it,, use nails and /or wood glue,, paint it,, another option is to make one from a cardboard box,, find the right size,,,, decorate it,, or buy markers , stickers, and let your son decorate it,,,, the same can be done for the dog house, get the wood, and have the construction a project to do with him

It will be some what expensive to buy a dog house for a play puppy. I would buy a large storage tub, large enough that when you flip it on its top, you can cut a hole large enough for the puppy to fit into. Turn the storage tub or crate over and cut a horseshoe shaped hole in the center of one side. You can paint these with spray paint to match his room or interest. You can buy a wood look contact paper and make it look like wood. You can paint his name over the door. You can even paint little windows on the house. You can find these tubs and crates at any local department store and everything you need should cost under $10.00. Further more it will have a special meaning. It can also be used later as a real pet house, if you decided to get him a small dog or cat at a later date. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Sorry but that seems kind of mean.. Your son really wants a LIVE dog and you give him a stuffed one..He is going to be extremely disappointed. I would either say I am sorry but we can't do a puppy right now.. OR I would get him a dog that is more "hypoallergenic", there are several breeds that do not cause if any, problems for people with allergies.

Well, instead of a dog house how about either a doggie bed or a small pet carrier. Tiny dog houses are next to impossible to find because tiny dogs are in door dogs and do not live outside. a cute small doggie bed would be nice or like I said a small pet carrier...they make soft sided carriers now that would work. (not those hard plactic ones ) The carrier would be more like a dog house, you could put a baby blanket in it for comfort. (yea I know readers its a fake dog, but that would make it more realistic for the child. Happy Holidays!
