3x is not too bad really! This will be your life for awhile, so do everything you can to make it work for you. 'Sleep when the baby sleeps' every new mom hears it-and it is the best way to go. Every baby is different, some will sleep through the night when they are a few weeks old, and others not until they are 1yr!! Our Ped said it has alot to do with body weight, the bigger babies have bigger bellies and can hold more to keep them satisfied. Try the side lying position while nursing in the middle of the night (or anytime) you can catch a little nap while she nurses and it is no big deal if you both end up asleep for a couple of hours after that-boob hanging out and all! Keep you chin up!

If she's only a week old and is waking up three times a night thats perfectly normal. She's a newborn and they need to be feed, burped and nappies changed every few hours. Its natural. Three times a night is not that much. My first daughter woke about three times a night and it wasnt a problem. I feed her, burped her, changed her nappy and put her back down. As she grew she needed less feeds at night. Until finally she didnt need any. But your baby is a newborn and needs feeding pretty much constantly, I'd get used to it if I was you. If you are worried or stressed or having poblems go visit your Dr who will have advise or refer you to a womens and babies centre where they have speacially trained Nurses. Good Luck

Your baby's age is determined from when you popped her out not by how much she sleeps. If your question really is suppose to be how long will it take before she sleeps without waking you up at night its probably going to be when she stops needing to be nursed, changed as often and other things like that.

Welcome to the world of motherhod. Both my children woke up about every 2-3 hours. I knew that before I became a mom. Although it's the best feeling in the world, being a mom is hard work. If your baby is waking up, that means they need something. To be fed, or a diaper change. It gets easier as they get older. Good Luck

Sweety it all depends on the baby. At her age..and I am saying this AGAINto you cuz yo umust be really young and dont get it....babies wake up 3,4 times a night. IT happens. Why do yo uhave a kid if you are not willing to "loose some sleep" over it??? You are a mommy get use to not sleeping and being uncomfortable and doing things you dont really want to do. All of us mommies give up everythign for our kids because we love them. Either get use to it or give her to someone who is willing to get use to it. You have complained about this before. It wont go away.
