You first need to convert the songs to MP3 if you don't have it already.
you can do it easily by "Ripping" your CD using the windows media player - just enter a CD to the CD ROM and open the windows media player, choose 'RIP' tab and start ripping.
make sure to check the 'Tools' menu --> RIP to see the location of the ripped files, and to make sure you rip it in mp3 format, and not in WMA format.

You will need to get your songs into MP3 format first - there is plenty of software which will do this, so I assume this is not the issue. You can then simply use your CD burning software to burn the files onto a standard blank CDROM if you want to access them from another PC. If you want to play them in an MP3 enabled CD player, I think you need to use a playlist. The best way to do this would be to use a MP3 CD wizard in NERO or similar wizard - as I assume that the software would do this for you.
Check out the link below to see how the bit-rate you choose for the MP3 compression will affect file size. As a 'rule of thumb' you can assume 1 MB per minute of music - 700MB on a CD, therefore you could get 700minutes of music (standard bit-rate of 128kbps)
Hope this helps

That's what I do... I bring a Discman player with me to the gym to listen do when I do my cardio. I put mp3s on there, and i think theres about 120 or so songs just on one CD. Great to use shuffle with so there are lots of songs to select from and you don't get used to hearing everything over and over again.
If you have mp3s on your computer and you want to burn them to CD and have a cd/dvd burner... your burner should have come with a software program to do the actual burning. Normally when you start it up, it will ask you what type of project do you want to do, and you would select... make/burn a data CD or mp3 CD.
Then you prolly will see a subwindow that looks like windows explorer and another one which is where you click and drag the files you want to burn to. Browse to where you have your mp3s, and click and drag them to the "burning area". Most programs will keep a running track as to how much space you have left on the CD for adding more songs. Once you have all the files there you want, burn the CD.
Just remember it's not a regular audio CD (that's cda format, not mp3)... you can only play it with devices that can take a CD and read mp3 files.

it all depends on the format. mp3 format compress the song which is in audio format (larger size) into small without making any changes in the quality of the song.
