Dogs are sociable animals. They like hanging out with the family. Maybe you should be with him while he eats in the kitchen. Then as a reward afterwards let him back into the living room when he's finished. You can also put a gate up in the doorway to prevent him from coming into the living room. Use treats to train him--when he does good, give him a treat. If not, no treat. Don't yell at him. It'll make him more insecure and he'll feel more of a need to be around you. Just pick him up and carry him to his bowls, stay with him while he eats. Gradually back off after time and he'll get used to the routine.
He'll eat when he's hungry. He's part wolf so don't worry.

well first of all ifyou have him trained to stay, then the name is bad. also if you have trained him to stay out of the kitchen when your eating or someone else is, or away from people when they are eating, it can cause him not to want to eat in there.
If nothing works to get him in there, then bring the food into the livingroom with a matt of some sort under it so it doesn't get all over. Dogs can be very clean animals when they are eating, so there shouldn;t be a mess at all.
If the dog won't even eat in the living room then it's time to take him to a vet.
There's something else wrong.
If it's been weeks why haven't you don'e something before now? the dog should be eating no matter what. maybe it's the food, maybe it's something else, but you shouldn't let a dog go without for a week, let alone longer. hurry to make sure he eats, or you could lose him to the local SPCA, they classify this as neglect.

Are you particular that your grandmother fed him contained in the kitchen? perchance he's merely grieving her, and it is his way of muddling by skill of. With the stupid ingesting habit. some dogs stop ingesting all mutually at the same time as they swap vendors. We merely took on 2 dogs very last April, and the former one, is merely getting used to us, and ingesting like she could! So, it is going to take time.

you said the little guy has not moved for weeks. Is he real or a toy?
If real try following---Feed in theliving room initialy-move the plate closer to kitchen slowly each day till it is in the kitchen in desired place.
---stop givig two orders at a time.say 'come' to call him into the kitchen and 'stay' to make him stay there and 'eat' when you offer the food.
----May be you have been harsh to him when he entered the kitchen earlier .
Remember he has to be retrained to give up his earlier habit/training.And you have to be loving and coaxing to make him change his habit'not harsh and strict,so as to make him lose weight by not feeding.

his name is stay? well what do you think the problem is, your confusing the little guy, he's probably very loyal and when you shout come, he's eager to go but then when you shout stay he thinks your telling him to stay. If changing his name isn't an option then feed him dry food in the living room, or buy carpet cleaner.

Apparently he is making a stand. Move the food dish closer to the living room door. Allow him to go to the food dish without coaching him. Be assured when he gets hungary enough he will eat. Should he not attempt to eat, call your Vet.

Where did you feed him before?
try staying by his side when he eats and in the future feed him only in one place.
If that doesnt work then place a clear large piece of plastic over the carpet and wait with him until he finished eating

You can't be serious????
Your dog is starving and you've waited weeks?
Pick your dog up and put in the kitchen, bathroom etc and close the door.
You dog may very well have had a bad experience in the kitchen whether it be a noise or whatever.

if he is little, can't you physically move him into the kitchen? surely if he is hungry he will then stay and eat? if he is not interested in eating, maybe there is something wrong with appetite that needs to be checked by a vet?
