a relation turned into a long distance one since we moved back to our different countries, and then he found someone his side and decided to over on as could not wait for us to meet…and now he wants me to forget everything and he also only remembers my faults and only criticises me – probably as a way to get over me….but is it possible that he may not actually be able to forget me completely and he may still feel something if we happen to meet again?

Agree that he will probably never forget you but do understand that once he starts remembering your faults only, it is not possible that he still feels positive about you.
It is time to move on.
He has obviously done so by being in a relationship with a new person.

What an insulting crock of bull! Why couldn't he just be honest with you and say he met someone else and leave it go at that? He's got to play some stupid game with you. What is with him wanting you to forget everything? Like it's a big cover up. What a self seeking impertinent foul brained jerk! No one forgets anyone just like that. Never! They don't forget the good, the bad or the indifferent. Nothing! They may want to forget but it's just not possible. What this guy is doing to you is deplorable and cowardly. He has all the integrity of a hyena and shows the style of a poison toad. To ridicule and remember you for just your faults is just what you perceive; a way to get over and be done with you. Like you're yesterdays garbage to be cast aside and forgotten. You didn't deserve this! This is the most loathsome demeaning rotten way to carry out and justify such a mean spirited behavior. Maybe now you can see how well off you are without this boorish lout. It would be great if you two met again someday. Maybe let that clot headed scum bag know just what you remember and what is not forgotten.

He may remember even into the smallest detail of your shortcomings but it doesn't mean that he still feel something towards you so it's better for you to move on he's not the only guy in this world. If he can do it then why can't you. Accept everything with an open heart and try your best to face your tomorrow with dignity intact. No use crying over spilled milk . Smile and be happy...time will help you get over him.

If he still feel for you, there will not be a new love in his life..
By picking on u and pointing out yr faults show that he is a pathetic bastard who wants to make you feel that its ur fault that he dumps u. He is trying to reason to himself that it yr fault so he won't feel guilty. Why cling on? Move on gal...

naturally he'll have a special feeling if you both meet again. but it may not be the kind of feeling you expect. it's just a different special feeling.
