This might gross some people out, but I got to ask it. My ears are NOT infected, there is no puss or anything like that. This problem has gone on for years. When I stick my pinky finger way down into my ears and move it around then smell it, it has an odor of rotten milk, or cheese. So I assume my inner ear smells pretty funky. Is this normal? I do clean my ears, but damn, that sour milk smell. What is it and how to you get rid of it?

If you clean your ears too much, i'm talking like every day, then it can actually push the wax further into your ear and make it worst. I think its normal to have some type of bad smell but yours sounds extreme. I would go see a Doctor and ask him about it. Maybe you can use one of those wax remover things but I don't know if that would help. If you want to ask a Doctor online I found this website called www.justanswer.com that might be helpful. Good luck!

See an ear doctor. When the ear starts to smell, this is usually due to middle ear infection or otitis media. Only the doctor can say whether you have an infection or not.

Have you check it up with a doctor?
