A couple of years ago I noticed a dark mark on the under part of my finger. I am pretty sure it was not there before. Well over ther years the mark has been fading. Its almost gone. What could it have been?

No. It was not a cut, or scrape.... i would remember a burn. It was pretty much IN the skin.

depends on what it looks like but could have been a calus, or if you stabbed yourself accidently with a pen or pencil sometime ago that could do it as long as when it happened that it broke skin, i know this happened to me in like 6th grade and i still have 9 yrs later, the stabbing is not on purpose but i was trying to put a pen cap back on to quickly.

could've beena cut,scrape or burn that went unnoticed

it may be pigmentation
