The falsehoods spread about on Catholicism are so constant and repetitive, people believe it must be true. Most of it is just plain prejudice. Part of the problem is they think Catholicism is a threat to what they believe. Another problem is the absolute ignorance of the history of the Bible, the beliefs and practices of the Early church, and the writings of the Early Church Fathers.
But what is really bad, is the money making that comes from the spread of anti-Catholic literature. Jack Chick, the Walt Disney of paranoid fundamentalism, is a liar and a fraud. Yet he is accepted by some as an expert on Catholicism. And there are hundreds of organizations dedicated, not to the betterment of human beings lives, but to discredit the Catholic Church with hate propaganda, all in the name of Christ.
The Church is the largest charity in the world, serving in disasters, famines, building schools and hospitals, more than any insitution on the planet, yet hate cultists remain blind to all this. They would much rather scream about Mary and saints and purgatory and a list of other things they cant possibly understand.
I've been on the net for 10 years, and I have never found a "bible-only" or evangelical Christian web site that teaches the truth about the Catholic Church. Not one.
And I've never found a Catholic web site that teaches falsehoods about others beliefs.

Catholicism is a cult. The major thing I have against the Catholic Church is its hierarchy. There is no pope in the bible and the Priesthood is includes all Christians yet the Catholic Church claims that Priesthood is special to the effect of only a select few enter it. Bishops and Deacons have to be married and be blameless and have children of the same account.
Since the Catholic Church has turned from Biblical Doctrine to making its own it is of Satan not of God. What I gave you is just a piece of the deception the Catholic Church is.

In a way, they really can't help it. Misinformation about Catholicism is spread from generation to generation among "Bible Christians" -- and in most cases, they've never even spoken to a Catholic about them, or at least spoken to a well-informed Catholic.
Another problem is that many of us Catholics are so poorly catechized that we can't explain our own faith very well -- and as a result, many Catholics fall prey to "Bible Christians" talking them out of their faith.
What to do? We Catholics must get to know our own faith better -- because a) most of what the "Bible Christians" say about our faith just isn't true, and b) once we get to know it fully, we see how well it squares with the Bible.
One great web site is the Catholic Answers web site. Its director, Karl Keating, is also the author of several Catholic apologetics books, including "Catholicism and Fundamentalism: The Attack on 'Romanism' by 'Bible Christians'."
It's a great read, and it had a great influence one me as I began practicing Catholicism seriously about five years ago.

I agree with you as a christian. It is very sad and they are very misinformed. I don't agree with the Catholic teachings based on the Catecism. But I don't think it is the church of Satan. It was the tool of the Lord for many years. Sadly most of which where not spirit filled. The crusades, the early popes who committed murder to get into the papacy.... all of that was a shameful blot of the face of Christ. But God preserved His word through the catholic church, and to say that God is not working among Catholics, or that Catholics are not christians is a very sad statement that is very false.

There are many "Christians" who are quite sincere in their desire to save Catholics. They truly believe the misinformation that they are given by their religious leaders. Their hearts are in the right place, but their information is very flawed.
Unfortunately, they cannot accept the truth about the Catholic Church because it goes against what they have been taught and in order for them to accept the truth, they have to deal with the fact that they have been misled and misinformed by their religious leaders.
It is best to do the Christian thing, which is to politely tell them the truth and then pray for them.

Some answer because they used to be in the religion, others because they have felt the affects of people who are in it. Some time catholics spend there time preaching what they have been taught instead if speaking from what the bible says.
Sometimes peoples speak out of their hurts and not from genuine knowledge.
Sometimes people want to hurt or harm instead of creating genuine dialogue to reach a common understanding.

All around in "answers" you will find people that just want to say bad things about any and all religions. Have you noticed lately that they have not been getting any responses to their ,malicious questions? Of course they can still answer, I do think we are taking a bit of their fun away though. I get the same stuff about my religion, no problem for me, I am comfortable with who I am.

Perhaps it's them who are like that(?)
I'm an Orthodox Christian, and there are things about the Catholics that I don't approve of, but what these people say is absolutely ridiculous!

With all the molesting priests getting away with molesting kids your worried about what outsiders say about the catholic church? I'd be more concerned about protecting the kids than I would about what strangers say.
