Your puppy is teething and it is normal for her to want to explore everything by taking it in her mouth. Especially if it is a moving object like a ball, your hand or a leaf floating in the wind. The thing to do when she tries to chew your hand is to say 'No' firmly and put a toy in her mouth. This way she will learn that it is acceptable to chew her toys, but not your hand.

Yes, she is just "tasting". The best thing I have found for chewing is smoked pig hooves. You can get them at a granary or feed store. Maybe Pet Smart may have the smoked hooves too. The hooves also help towards her not to chew on the furniture.
