That's just the problem with religion right now. The meaning gets very distorted when people think that their religion is THE religion, and that all others are false and/or evil. But this has always been the way with the religion of the masses, as opposed to the religion of mystics and theologians. Those people tend to see the things that their religions have in common with others, rather than the differences, which are superficial. You can be loyal to your religion without believing that it is the only true religion. Religions are metaphors, and each one says things that are impossible to relate directly in words, hence the need for metaphor.

There's a Buddhist saying about the student who asked his teacher to show him the moon. The teacher points to the moon, but the student becomes fascinated by the teacher's pointing finger, and doesn't see the moon. The majority of religious people are like that. They get caught up in the metaphor, and fail to see what their religion is actually meant to convey.

With your permission, I would like to assume that your question refers to the general truth of all books written about God, and their truthfulness and holiness. And from your start about the Bible, you must have been in a conversation about religion with a Christian? I think your question gets to the fundamental reason why we have religion; Religion being a group of people with a common set of beliefs. Since, we as thinking beings, have defined and continue to debate the definitions of words like "truth" and "Holy", then I guess without some ultimate authority, they are all Holy and all true; depends on THEIR definition or the definitions of their spiritual leaders. What is really important is that as people interpret their spiritual influences, they do things that are good for the harmony of humanity. If they use their spiritual influences to divide and cause unrest, then I wouldn't blame the message, but the ignorance of the message receiver and/or the message giver. Hope this helps. ; )

there were 5 holybooks bought down from sky. today oly 3 exsist but the porblem is that 2 of them have been changed from time to time. bible was the 4th holy book and it has been chnaged several times as well. i would not say either of the 5 books are unholy because thats just insulting a particular religion.

If I tell you that the color red is holy and true , do you then conclude that all other colors are unholy and untrue ?

Every book needs to be taken on it's merits and adds to the collective mind.

Some of what Confuscious had to say is quite enlgithening and interesting and meets with the Bible.

If you remove the fortune telling aspect from the I Ching, the parables listed are quite intriguing.

These books were written by man, man has faults. Therefore the books have faults. Get the general idea from all the books, be good, worship god, respect others (man, animals and the earth).

Every religion claims to be the one and only "ultimate answer" and everything else is just an evil distraction.

They ALL want to monopolize "the absolute truth".

I gain no monopoly for bringing someone to christ. I gain nothing. I might gain a friend. But on earth to me, there is nothing that I gain for converting a person to christianity. I feel sad when I think about how many people are lost, and that alone drives me to save just one. But there will be nothing on earth for me. As far as the people who count how many people attend their church... I can't speak for them. But I do know that I was put here to save at least one person, from that second death. My only gain is in heaven, but I don't do it for that. I do it for that satisfaction of knowing that person is saved.
