Sony sells DVDirect that records video and audio into a recordable DVD without a PC, but it does not support CD-recordables without a PC.

There are devices that can record audio directly to Flash or SD memory. After that you can burn a CD on your computer.

Direct copying audio in real-time to a CD-R is very hard. Audio bit rates are very low (about 128-256 kbit/s), on the other hand, it is very difficult to find CD drives with speeds lower than 6-8x (1x=1.5 Mbits/s) This means that the device, even recording at 1x, needs a big memory buffer (such a hard disc or lots of RAM) because it records faster than the input data come in.

So either get an audio capture card for your PC or a portable flash-based audio recorder. Eventually you will need to burn the CDs on your PC.
