same as you i phoned them up you will get them on Friday and then again next Friday

If you get your tax credits on a Monday. Then you will be able to collect your money anytime from Monday the 18th December 2006. If you claim any other benefits due on either Christmas or Boxing Day you will also be able to claim these on the Monday/Tuesday (18th/19th) of this week.

unlike the old fashioned way they did child benefit (the monday before) the more modern payment methods used mean that you will get it credited to your account the working day before it is due should the day it is due be a bank holiday.
so for this year you will get the payment due on Xmas day on the 22nd, and the payment due on New years day on the 29th Dec.
