To be with someone you that makes you feel complete. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries b4 you realize who really completes you. Money and sex should not be the reasons you stay with some1 because money might not last and sex with the same person all the time can get played out(especially since looks can fade in time). What makes you want to be in a relationship with some1 is because how happy that person can make u feel. The only way that could happen is if you love each other and show how much you mean to each other through the time you spend together.

People like to believe that people base relationships on love, some magical mystical connection that bonds two spirits together forever and a day.

I don't know where people learned this childish rubbish, but it just isn't true. Coming from a home that was broken several times over, I learned that people are in relationships because of what they do for each other and the relationship will resolve is those needs go unmet. The most common things people in relationships do for each other is provide sexual provide sexual pleasure and pool their resources. If you don't believe me, look at a relationship where one partner loses their job or isn't sexually satisfied by the other and just watch the union degenerate into a shouting match. Bringing kids into the equation decreases the importance of sex, since their is simply less time for it, and increases the importance of money, since kids are dependent mouths in need of feeding. Many people are frustrated and dissapointed with their relationships because they expect some magical idea of unconditional eternal love that doesn't exist. If people were more realistic about their relationships, they may not be as passionate, but they would choose better and relationships would last longer.

When i first entered my relationship, i was in it for the love. Today, i no longer know why i would be in that relationship, as i am not sure that the love is or ever was for that matter returned to me, so i do not know.........I think often relationships have no love, or a wrong idea of it, and they fail for that reason. I also think that in today's society, all to often people are in relationships for the "physical"

I can't speak for others but I am in a relationship because the girl whom I love is exactly who I always wanted and we've been together for over 3 years now.

If I were in a relationship, it would because of sincere and deep fondness for that person. I would probably love her and enjoy sharing time together. Some people call this old-fashioned. If it is, so be it.

I don't believe in love. I don't believe anyone can stay with just one person.

People are in relationships for these reasons: sex, company, fun, money, or lust. You don't honestly believe that you could be "in love" with one out of a billion people do you?
