Try "power2go express' from Cyberlink. It burns the movie by time and not size (if that makes any sense).Cyberlink has a free trial.......also "powercopy"

Go to this site :http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

All the info is there. You need to download two different items. The first will remove the regional code on the DVD and the other will allow you to copy the DVD, split a DVD in half etc.
I've been using it and it worked well for me.

plz make ur question clear. if u just want to copy the dvd, u can always open it, explore it n copy it to ur harddisk.

now, if u want to shrink the size but not the quality, i guess, download Dr. Dix and convert ur DVD movie into .avi file with DIVX codec, n copy it... ur 4 GB movie will hardly take 1 GB after this conversion, that too, with too good quality...

defo DVD Decrypter to save the Image file, then nero to burn it.
dvd shrink is also good for decoding and compressing in the one pass.
