basically **** off? Me and this person were togheter for about 3 years when I was younger (almost 8 years ago)but they are still on that level- they just recently called me after a long time and he is still on some bullshit- they didn't grow up at ALL!!!!!!!!!- I'm just not intrested in that anymore AT ALL- I grew up... Their whole lifestyle is something I can't deal with and even though I still have some feelings because the history is there..its not the same...any advice (SORRY SO LONG)

Tell him you are not interested. You don't have to go into reasons or be brutal. Just say you are in a different place now and you two just don't fit anymore. Then do not respond.

Just be honest let the person know you are at a point in your life where you want more then they can give.You have grown up alot and you are not into the same things anymore.You think time is taking you both in to different directions.You are grateful for the relationship you had in the past it's just not enough now. Maybe someday fate might lead you back to each other but for now you need space to meet other people and try new things. I hope you respect my feelings enough to understand. I need to find out what's missing in my life and right now a relationship is not what I need. Enough said.Good luck.

Well you can't obviously just tell them to **** off, but you could just try to ignore them and little by little they will get the hint. I understand that it is hard when you grow up and your friends sort of just stay behind. I know this sounds a bit like conceit, but in fact it happens a lot. You could either be really frank, hurt their feelings and sort of feel bad for a short period of time and tell them to **** OFF or you could be subtle in ignoring them, be annoyed a bit longer by them but eventually end it in good terms. It's your choice, or you could just put up with them FOREVER, MWA HA HA HA HA HA... but I know that's not what you want so you could go with the first to ideas I gave you, or come up with something on your own.

I have had the same exact situation many times girl and the best way to handle this is to tell them exactly what you told us on here. Just be honest. Being honest doesn't mean that you have to be an *** about it....just say what you said on here...I thought you were well-spoken.

Make a clean fast break. No calls, no emails, no texts. Thats the best way to go. If you have the same friends let them know you don;t want to be at events he attends, avoid him and he will go away eventually. explain to him how you feel and leave, say goodbye and be sure he understands it as a forever goodbye.

keep throwing in "my boyfriend says this and my boyfriend says that" , keep saying the opposite of what they think and say and they will get the hint you arent available and hopefully move on and stop bothering ya.
