I asked a question about what people think will happen after they die. Most of the answers I got where nothing about the question I asked. I didn't ask if you were afraid of death. I asked what you thought would happen after you died. I wasn't converting anyone to christianity. I was just wondering what people who don't believe in christ think will happen when they die. Not their testamony on why they think I should not be a christian, or why they deserve not to believe in God.

It's hard to say. Many people simply do not pay attention to the question, and I do not know why this is. Sometimes they may simply mis-read it -- I have done that myself. I believe that I answered your original question with: Nothing. You go to sleep, and don't wake up, and that is the end of it.

It's called a world view. Have you ever heard of rose colored glasses? A person is said to be wearing rose colored glasses if they always see the bright side of things, and only the bright side.

A world view is sort of similar. Everything a person sees is filtered with their world view glasses. So things that a person sees that doesn't match their worldview either becomes invisible, or becomes distorted by their world view.
I can't tell you how many times I have written something in which all of my strongest points have been totally ignored by the reader and they only focused on my weak points in their response.
I would like to believe that I am a fair minded person, but from time to time I have even fallen prey to my own world view. And the older I get the more power my world view holds over me.

Because I think people don't really want to dwell too much on it; I am convinced that there's times in all unbelievers lives (unless God has given them over to a reprobate mind as mentioned in Romans Chapter 1), that the fear of death gripped them. What I don't think they understand when that happens is that the Holy Spirit is dealing with their hearts, and at that time, simple repentance is all they need. One doesn't get saved when one CHOOSES to; one gets saved when the Holy Spirit is convicting the heart of sin.

Just that - they reply what they think they hear now you are correct and i don't find the question you posed to be spiritual or religious at all i find It to be a survey question just in the wrong category is all!
you know I am not christian and cannot fathom on what shall happen to me for I cannot foresee the future and neither can any man woman or UFO!
and many whom are not christian know of Prophet Jesus(PBUH)! not worship him for that is a silly notion we don't hinge faith on a mere wonderful PROPHET this would be a foolish !thing to do!

It gives non Christians an excuse. I have found that most who don't believe in God believe in something, they just don't know what. Talk about being elusive. Face it. We die, then we answer for our life to the one that gave us an eternal soul.

I read (and answered) your question and the majority of the respondents answered regarding what they thought would happen when they died. Because they *also* chose to address the pompous way you asked the question, it would appear that you are being selective in your comprehension of the answers given.

As it says in John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
So depending how much of a degree you are good there are deffirent levels of the Kingdom of God. But for those who are truly malice and wicked in heart those go to hell.

If all you wanted to know was what people thought happened after they died, than you would have simply asked...

"What do you think will happen to you when you die?"

But you added on a lot of other stuff that demanded being addressed and now you're complaining about it?

Because people are offering a defense mechanism. It's part of the Pleasure Principle.

We do not like to feel uncofortable, and people are sidestepping the issue, dying.

It's funny, isn't it. That we all know that all people (we know a few exceptions), die. Yet people like to put certain things off.

I get to return to my Maker, and He knows me. I would like to die, it will mean that I am almost home. ( :

Um, because they are people with deep psychological disorders??

Or else its just a issue for the captain. Captian crunch is good at crunch time, but lay off the ketchup if you ever plan to vote!
