This a classic match-up between 2 all-time great boxers. This fight will be closer than everyone expects. I have Duran in a close/slim majority decision.

Good question sir! I assume you are talking about 15 rounds and at lightweight. This would be a fantastic fight between two legendary fighters. Armstrong would probably throw the higher volume of punches with Duran landing some great counter right hands during this fight, I believe that Duran was a better defensive fighter although he was also very aggressive, This would be a fight of wills with two very determined fighters going at it every round. I believe that it would be a very close fight with a lot of momentum changes with Duran emerging the victor by split decision and a clamoring for a rematch,

James R - Good question. What weight are they fighting at? I'll match them up at lightweight. Both fighters are relentless/pressure style type fighters. My gut feeling tells me Duran is the better defensive fighter. He was able to press his opponents to the ropes and work both the body, head and at the same time he was able to make his foe miss with tremendous upper body movement. He was tremendous at rolling with punches also. Duran wins a close unanimous decision with both fighters being exhausted at fights end.

You know I wouldn't really know about this fight I know how tough Duran is but Armstrong was no slouch either. A tough fight, what ever the out come too hard too decide.

This is a great, great question.

Duran wins. Too skillful, too strong. Can you picture Armstrong beating Ray Leonard?

I think it's close, but Duran would probably win on a decison that is a nail biter.
